For the last several years, students at Zion Lutheran School have been supporting the Tioga County Historical Society (TCHS) by decorating trees.\u00a0 Each class has made their own tree or wreath to support the exhibit.<\/p>\n

Themes have varied through the years, but there has always been support by the staff and families in participating.\u00a0 From pre-k through sixth grade, the children enjoy the field trip to go and decorate.<\/p>\n

Principal Janet Pawlak stated, \u201cIt is a good lesson to learn at a young age to make or bring things that are for others. It teaches the children to help others in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TCHS O\u2019Tannenbaum exhibit is open Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the TCHS Musuem located at 110 Front St. in Owego.<\/p>\n

The O\u2019Tannenbaum Holiday Showcase is a Fundraiser where the public can enjoy looking at the trees, wreaths, and other decorations, and then bid on them as a silent auction. The final night to bid is Dec. 13.<\/p>\n

\"Zion<\/a>

The Preschool Class made a Toy tree to raise money for the Tioga County Historical Society.<\/p><\/div>\n

Zion Lutheran School enrolls children from preschool to grade 6 in a Christ-centered environment with high academic standards in a loving, family-like atmosphere. Zion Lutheran School has an open enrollment policy for children of all denominations, races, color and ethnic origins.<\/p>\n

Limited Scholarship funds are available for families in financial need.\u00a0 Zion serves the children of five local school districts including Owego- Apalachin, Candor, Newark Valley, Union Endicott, Tioga Center and parts of Vestal.<\/p>\n
