ICS Solutions Group continued in its October tradition of raising awareness and money for breast cancer research by walking in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk recently in Rec Park. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer was started in 1993 by the American Cancer Society and aids in cancer research as well as providing assistance to cancer patients and survivors.<\/p>\n
The ICS Solutions Group team, adorned in its custom ICS pink shirts in honor of breast cancer awareness month, had 20 employees and their families participate in the walk and were able to raise over one thousand dollars for the cause.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have always been big supporters of breast cancer awareness month as breast cancer affects so many women throughout the Southern Tier and around the world.\u00a0 We have participated in a number of walks and have been able to donate a lot of money for cancer research and to assist those in our community affected by the disease. The pink ICS shirts, which we incorporated a few years ago, have become our \u2018pink shirt Friday\u2019 tradition however it all started in the month of October to show our support for a cure for breast cancer. Here at ICS, we are all one big family and we are extremely fortunate to have a great staff who have the same altruistic nature to help those in need as much as we do. We look forward to continuing to give back to the community in a number of ways and are in the process of working on a new community initiative that will help more folks in need directly within our community.
