(Photo provided by the Tioga County Sheriff\u2019s Office)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Criminal Investigators with the Tioga County Sheriff\u2019s Office reported on Thursday that they have uncovered and shut down a substantial marihuana growing operation in the Town of Newark Valley, N.Y., which led to the arrest of 45-year old Richard B. Paugh, Jr. on Felony charges.<\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 20, 2014 while attempting to serve an arrest warrant for an individual wanted in Broome County, investigators discovered a marihuana growing and processing operation at a residence located at 1416 Newark Valley Maine Rd.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered more than 100 pounds of marihuana, worth approximately $424,000. Investigators also seized various drug paraphernalia from the residence.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators arrested and took into custody the owner of the residence, Richard B. Paugh, Jr., who was subsequently charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 1st Degree, a class C Felony and was arraigned before Town of Newark Valley Justice John Schaffer.<\/p>\n<p>Richard B.
