Center, with offices in Binghamton and Owego, offers free and confidential services to people facing an unplanned pregnancy.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Lockheed Martin kicked off their annual employee giving campaign by holding a non-profit agency fair at the Owego facility on Wednesday, Oct. 8. Nearly 40 non-profit organizations set up informational booths at the fair for employees to visit and understand where donations are used.<br \/>\nThe Employee Charities of Choice Campaign at Lockheed Martin is a three-week campaign, which runs from Oct. 13-31. Campaign Chairperson Lisa Gross stated, \u201cLockheed Martin employees are very generous and want to help. This campaign further strengthens employee ties to the community.\u201d<br \/>\nThe employees of Lockheed Martin-Owego donated more than $700,000 to both local and national non-profits last year, which is an example of their ongoing commitment to the community.<br \/>\nBrian Eldridge, executive director of the Tioga United Way, attended the agency fair. Eldridge took on the role three years ago, just thirteen days prior to the September 2011 flooding. He credits Lockheed Martin\u2019s generosity to the community and the United Way, and stated, \u201cAbout one-third of Tioga County\u2019s funds comes by way of donations from Lockheed Martin.\u201d The 2014-2015 Tioga United Way campaign began on Sept. 11 and is off to a good start. The Tioga United Way funds more than 30 agencies and helped more than 16,000 residents last year.<br \/>\nOther non-profit organizations participating at the fair included; A New Hope Center of Owego, Catholic Charities of Tompkins and Tioga Counties, Mom\u2019s House, Tioga County Rural Ministry, Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center, Life Choices Center, Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network, the Children\u2019s Home of Binghamton, the Discovery Center, the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group and the American Red Cross, just to name a few.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lockheed Martin kicked off their annual employee giving campaign by holding a non-profit agency fair at the Owego facility on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
