Death is not a pleasant subject and is not talked about much in social circles and events, and yet it is inevitable for us all. Whenever the last breath comes, a stark reality will come to bear upon every person, and that is that they will either be in heaven or hell. There is no other option, there is no other stopping off place, it\u2019s either heaven or hell. A person may not believe in heaven or hell, but the fact of the matter is that you can\u2019t stay here and you won\u2019t stay here. So then what does the Bible say about \u201cA Real Place Called Heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n
There are 3 verses of Scripture that do a good job of summarizing \u201cA Real Place Called Heaven\u201d and they are found in the book of Revelation. In these 3 verses we find 7 perfect statements concerning heaven. Revelation 22:3\u20135 (NLT) 3 No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. 4 And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. 5 And there will be no night there\u2014no need for lamps or sun\u2014for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.<\/p>\n
The first perfect statement about heaven is the wonderful reality that, \u201cthere will be no more curse.\u201d After Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden they were expelled and a curse was placed on the Earth by God because of sin. In heaven there will be no more curse.<\/p>\n
The second perfect statement about heaven is that \u201cthe throne of God and of the Lamb will be there.\u201d Heaven will be heaven because God will be there and all those that go to heaven will live forever with Him. The third perfect statement about heaven is that, \u201cHis servants will worship (serve) Him.\u201d As a result of being in heaven there will be opportunity to worship and our expression of worship will be to serve God. Now we\u2019re not given a lot of details on what this service will be, but rest assured it will be wonderful and blessed.<\/p>\n
The fourth perfect statement about heaven is that, \u201cthey shall see His face.\u201d Beyond simply being in heaven, serving and worshipping God, there\u2019s the wonderful joy of seeing His face. My oh my, what a glorious prospect. The fifth perfect statement about heaven is that, \u201cHis Name will be written on their foreheads.\u201d The One that died on the cross to pay the price and make possible being in heaven, His Name will be on their foreheads. Jesus paid the price and now His blessed and holy Name will be on their foreheads.<\/p>\n
The sixth perfect statement about heaven is that, \u201cthere will be no night there\u2014no need for lamps or sun\u2014for the Lord God will shine on them.\u201d Can you imagine, no more darkness, no more nighttime, life will be lived in the light of the Lord God. The seventh perfect statement about heaven is that, \u201cthey will reign forever and ever.\u201d Living forever in heaven with God and with all those that have placed their faith and trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins is a thought that goes beyond words.
\nAll of this and more are possible and not because of good works, baptism, confirmation, church membership, nor any other work that we can do. Heaven is possible by admitting that we are sinners, believing that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and by confessing Jesus as Lord. My prayer is that everyone that reads this article would do just that for whosoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
