This annual Adopt-a-Child program is helping well over 300 kids in Tioga County, N.Y. this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cIt\u2019s so important to us that each child wakes up with a gift to open on Christmas morning,\u201d says CCTT<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>Executive Director Renee Spear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She added, \u201cIt\u2019s hard to imagine any one child in Tioga County waking up and having nothing, and unfortunately, this would be the case if it weren\u2019t for initiatives like this.\u201d Spear states that this year the organization will be serving the highest number of vulnerable children in the program\u2019s history.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_103699\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenstreetdata.com\/PS\/owego\/files\/2024\/11\/Gifts3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-103699\" class=\"size-full wp-image-103699\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greenstreetdata.com\/PS\/owego\/files\/2024\/11\/Gifts3.jpg\" alt=\"Tioga County Adopt-a-Child Christmas Program underway\" width=\"400\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.greenstreetdata.com\/PS\/owego\/files\/2024\/11\/Gifts3.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.greenstreetdata.com\/PS\/owego\/files\/2024\/11\/Gifts3-290x300.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-103699\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pictured are some of the more than 300 tags, each designated for a specific child in Tioga County, N.Y. Provided photo.<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Tags are available in the community at various locations, including Tioga State Bank on Fifth Avenue, Scott Smith and Son, Roasted Coffee Bar, Scoville-Meno, The Goat Boy, and Confection Connection, all in Owego.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Tags are also available at Engelbert\u2019s Farm Store and Tioga Downs, both in Nichols, and at Bostwick\u2019s Antique Mall in Candor. Trees will remain up until Dec. 4.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Each tag represents a child that has been signed up for this program and has age, gender, clothing size, and some shopping ideas or specific needs listed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">More details are available at each location, or you can contact Michelle with any questions by email to <a href=\"mailto:michelle.mclaren@dor.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">michelle.mclaren@dor.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe\u2019ve built a lot of connections over the last couple of years with this program and we are beyond grateful for the businesses that have pledged financial support to help these children,\u201d Spear adds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sponsors include Scott Smith &amp;
