Newark Valley Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration open online for 2020-2021

Nathan T. Hall Elementary School recently announced they will be holding online registration for their incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students beginning Monday, April 27 through May 8, 2020.

Children who will be five years old on or before Dec. 1, 2020 are eligible to enter Kindergarten. Children who will be four years old on or before Dec. 1, 2020 are eligible to enter Pre-K.

As in past years, they are planning to have one full-day Pre-K class, one morning Pre-K class, and one afternoon Pre-K class. Per New York State regulations, if more than 18 children register for the full day Pre-K class, they will be required to have a lottery to select the students for this class.  All families will be notified, via the U.S. Postal Service, telling them if their child was picked for the full-day class, or if they were put on a waiting list.

Registration will be available by following the Pre-K and Kindergarten registration link found on the Nathan T. Hall Elementary School website, which can be accessed through the Newark Valley Central School Website (nvcs.stier.org). Follow the directions on the registration form to ensure they have as much information about your child as possible. They noted they will require more information at a later date.

If you are unable to complete your form online or have any questions, please call the Nathan T. Hall Elementary main office at 642-3340, or you can email them at nthregistration@nvcs.stier.org.  Families interested in a full-day Pre-K placement must complete their form by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020.
