Open Door Mission begins coat distribution

Open Door Mission begins coat distributionJenn Harris and her two daughters, Phoenix and Zahnya, pick out some cute, warm, winter attire. Provided photo.

It appears the winter season has begun. The Open Door Mission, located at 425 North Ave. in Owego, has winter coats and jackets available for anyone in need. They have a variety of styles and sizes.

Those in need can visit the Outreach Department Monday through Wednesday, and between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

They would like to offer a special “thank you” to the Apalachin Lions Club, who has been collecting jackets and coats for this event.

The Tioga County Open Door Mission is a non-profit organization that has served the community for over 50 years, providing men’s sober living, three food pantries and an outreach center along with recovery meetings.
