Community Concert taking place October 19 in Newark Valley

On Oct. 19, at 7 p.m., some of the most talented alumni from the Newark Valley Central School district will be presenting a Community Concert. This free concert celebrates the accomplishments of past Newark Valley High School graduates and staff while accepting donations to be put towards scholarships for the next generation of seniors.

Many alumni who performed in past concerts will be back by popular demand to entertain the crowd. Single voices, duets, choirs, dance, comedy, rock and instrumentalists will all be represented.

The concert will again include a choir of alumni voices led by Newark Valley’s director, Jewel Griffith. The group will also perform a song to honor veterans.

The concert will be held at the Newark Valley High School’s Jewel Bittner-Griffith auditorium on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. Free will offerings will be gratefully accepted, and all are welcome.
