Bell ringing marks the countdown for Owego's 1st Annual International Day of Peace Festival

On Saturday, Aug. 31, the Mayor of Owego, Mike Baratta, along with Trustee Charles Plater and members from the community, cut a ribbon to unveil Owego’s World Peace Bell and to begin the countdown to Owego’s 1st International Day of Peace Festival and Stand for Peace effort on Sept. 21.

The event is taking place at Owego Schoolhouse Antiques on Elm Street in Owego.
