On Monday, Sept. 2, the Roki Community Club will bring the community together once again for what is now the 108th annual Nichols Old Home Day event, located in Nichols, N.Y.

Activities will begin with a parade through the village of Nichols taking place at 10 a.m. There will be kids activities, vendors, food, a Lions Raffle and much more at Kirby Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At 11 a.m. at Kirby Park, a flag raising will take place followed by the Star Spangled Banner, played by the Kirby Band. 

Activities throughout the event include carnival games, face painting, a bounce house and slide, glitter tattoos, $2 pony rides offered by Ranch Riders 4H Club, Stop That Game Truck, an antique kids pedal train ride, and Robert Rogers’ puppets. 

There will also be craft vendors, the Nichols Fire Department will be holding a Chicken BBQ, and Country Boys Kitchen and Jessie’s Hot End Food Truck will be serving food as well.

DJ ACE, from Double D entertainment, will be providing music and announcing throughout the day.

The event is sponsored by Matthew K. Cook DDS, Palmer’s Manufactured Homes, Tioga Downs Casino Resort, Lalor Family Dental, and Tioga Golf Club.
