Information sought regarding hit and run accident in Apalachin

The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle struck a 12-year-old pedestrian, causing non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle is described as a grey, possibly dark grey pick-up truck, which sustained damage to the passenger side mirror. 

The vehicle was traveling south on Pennsylvania Avenue near St. Margaret Mary Church between Barton Road and Van Riper Road in Apalachin at about 6 p.m. on Aug. 20. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (607) 687-1010.
