The first annual Tioga County Restaurant Week will take place Sept. 10–20, featuring eateries from all over the county. Participating restaurants are being sought by two hosting organizations, the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce (TCCC) and the Tioga County Tourism Office (TCT).
“The goal of this event is to shine a spotlight on our many wonderful restaurants and attract new customers for them and other Tioga County businesses,” said Gwen Kania, president and CEO, Tioga County Chamber of Commerce. TCCC and TCT will promote the event locally and to potential visitors from outside of the county.
Restaurants will have the opportunity to offer special prices and menus to encourage guests to tour Tioga County’s many diverse, independently owned restaurants.
“We have a wealth of great restaurants throughout the county serving everything from home-cooked comfort food to global cuisine. The variety is amazing and Tioga County Restaurant Week will showcase all of the different places to eat when you visit the county,” said Rebecca Maffei, director, Tioga County Tourism.
