Owego Little League will host an outdoor movie on July 20, at 9 p.m. in Draper Park in Owego. The movie will be The Sandlot and will be shown by CNY and Syracuse Fun Flicks, Inc.
The movie is open to all, with a special invitation to the championship players in the New York 10U Little League Championship that will be in town for a tournament that is being held at Hyde Park in Owego.
“We wanted to have a fun event to welcome the players and connect them with our community and our beautiful village, and we thought a movie about baseball in the heart of the village would be a great way to do that,” said Scott Rollison of Owego Little League.
The Tioga United Way sponsors the movie.
The rain date is July 21, at 9 p.m. in Draper Park, Owego.
