Colin Evans to present on Climate Change

There will be a presentation by Colin Evans on Thursday, June 13, at 7 p.m. in the Hubbard Auditorium, located at 56 Main St., Owego on Climate Change, its effects, and what can be done to reduce its impact. 

Colin’s presentation and power point are very informative. There will be a Q and A session following Colin’s presentation. 

Colin was born and raised in Massachusetts and moved to Owego, his father’s hometown, in 2005. He graduated from Owego Free Academy in 2008. 

From 2008-2012 he attended Wells College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, graduating with honors. He received a Master of Science in Atmospheric Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2015, having completed a thesis on boundary layer forecasting accuracy. 

And from 2015 to 2017 Colin was a Resident Director at Binghamton University. In the fall of 2017 Colin started a PhD program at Cornell University in the atmospheric science department. His research focuses on climate change, data visualization, and the dynamics of drought in the Northeast and Southwest. 

He lives here in Owego with his wife and dog.
