I had a father that hated me and a mother that loved me.

Because of legal requirements, I’ve had to continue taking college courses to maintain my license. I can’t believe how much college courses have gotten watered down over the years. And today’s students can’t work their way through school, opting instead for big student loans? I worked my way through school and graduated with no big debt. I think they could too, if they wanted to, instead of petting bunnies and waiting for someone else to pay their bills.

I just want to know who is in charge of the Apalachin boat launch? Is it the highway department? I just wanted to know; I spent an hour down there this weekend picking up trash and I was wondering if there was a way they could get a trash can put down there to prevent this in the future. Just wondering.

I think last week’s caller missed the point regarding comments of 50 words. I’m sure it meant in the ballpark of 50 words more or less but more importantly, the comment was read. So I guess the mission was accomplished. Keep them brief and to the point and people will read them.

Please, please, please fill hole on Erie Street, just past the boys and girls club from Main Street and on the right. Cars swinging out to avoid the hole almost hit our car. Also, there is a huge hole in the entrance to Long Meadow Apartments that needs fixing!

OFA Central School District’s taxes are going up 3.84 percent, absolutely outrageous!!

I was watching the local news and they reported that the Greater Broome County Airport has just one airline company now and 21 traffic controllers all making great money at the airport. Don’t you think that is kind of overkill?

Ideas to support Social Security and Medicare from going broke: if you didn’t pay into the fund you don’t get anything out, except for widows; disability should have its own fund; you must be a U.S. citizen; close all off shore military bases that are not fully supported by the occupied country; the only foreign aid is for humanitarian; no more handouts to buy U.S. weapons; eliminate the propaganda fund; stop meddling in the affairs of sovereign countries; and drop out of NATO and the UN, we ignore them anyway. We can use all the savings to support U.S. citizens and take care of their health.

I am so tired of politicians advocating voting rights for incarcerated and previous felons, claiming they paid their debt to society. They may have paid their debt to the justice system, which put them in there, but not to society. Somewhere there is a family that lost a loved one to a crime; a person afraid to go out at night because they were mugged or robbed; parents afraid to send children to a park. Victims carry that fear with them everywhere, especially to the voting booth.

We should be grateful for Mr. Mueller investigating the Russian probe; he found no defined evidence of collusion. He did, however, have 199 criminal charges – 34 people were charged, three companies, and 13 Russians. George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort, Rich Gates, Michael Flynn, Michael Cohen, Alex van der Zwaan, Richard Pinedo, Konstantin Kilimnik, Viktor Netyksho and Roger Stone, and that’s only a hand full. There may be more after the full report comes out. Even though it was costly, we must protect our country. Thank you Mr. Robert Mueller

Those folks celebrating their bigger tax refunds should know that the increase is being financed by two billion dollar a day government loans which our grandchildren will struggle to repay. The COPA increase is courtesy of inflation caused mainly by tariffs on imports. All hail Trump, the financial genius!

The U.S. government and news media and the continued anti Russia campaign are getting old, they need a boogeyman to support the continued build up of the military complex, all the alleged crimes that Russia supposedly committed and they have never produced a piece of evidence that would stand up in an unbiased court of law. The U.S. military is larger than the next eight to ten countries added together and hasn’t won a war since WWII and that was with the help of Russia. Trump recently had a conversation with former president Carter, and Carter admits he made mistakes and mentioned that in the last 242 years the U.S. has been involved in war/conflict in all but 16 years, so tell me who is the aggressor. Every country the U.S. meddles in is worse off now than before we saved them, we set up a puppet government that we can control and now they are in civil wars. Think of all that could happen for the better in the U.S. instead of the arrogance that the U.S. must dominate over the world.

Democrats – after you overthrow our government (I hope it will be a bloodless coup), won’t Nancy Pelosi become our president? How great! Finally a women president! I am sure she will give us more than “mere crumbs”, right? Oh! Don’t forget to purge the Supreme Court of all Conservatives! ROAR!

Democrats, do you realize that you and your party are trying to OVERTHOW our government? Nothing like this has ever happened before! I think you all are nuts!

The economy of Venezuela has been destroyed by socialism; to suggest otherwise is nonsense. Venezuela nationalized their oil industry; it is now managed by incompetent, corrupt political hacks. The collapse of oil prices did not destroy Exxon and Shell because competent people that make sound economic decisions manage them. Hugo Chavez used the national oil company revenues for social programs, buying votes, and not investing in or diversifying his economy. Socialism put the Venezuelan economy at risk and socialism is to blame for its collapse.

If we need adults in the White House, we also need the democrats to grow up and stop acting like middle school kids bullying a kid that doesn’t fit into their clique. Trump won because you put up a poor candidate – GET OVER IT ALREADY – start showing you are capable of doing something for your constituents instead of all this self pity and self serving whining. It’s a huge turn-off and potential voters are feeling like you just don’t care about anyone but yourselves and your hurt feelings.

The greatest explanation and condemnation of Socialism is contained in the book Gulag Archipelago. It is a huge and free on-line audio book. One sees how the human being is to a soulless animal or starved to death. In Russia this is mandatory reading for every public school student. Russia chooses not to repeat the murderous path of 50,000,000 dead bodies. I asked my children and many of their friends what the Federalist Papers are. Not a single one knew. 1) That Democrats can’t or don’t read is dangerous. 2) Any Democrat who doesn’t condemn any form of Socialism, Communism, and Democratic Socialism has to be an uneducated low IQ product of a public and higher education system that has corrupted their sense of human decency. Notice how Democrats always have to have an enemy. Just make one up. Make a good man like Brett Kavanaugh a serial rapist, yeah. For the simpler minded try George Orwell’s Animal Farm, some versions have pictures.

I have one question for you Republicans out there. Are you people that stupid and brainwashed that you still support this president? Read the Mueller report. This is proven facts; this isn’t so called Liberal propaganda like Fox throws out there the other way. This is true fact and you guys still support this guy! You people are sad. That’s how Hitler came into power and you’re going through the same thing again. I don’t think there is any hope for some of you people. Wake up before it’s too late.

You know this Mueller report is just a waste of taxpayer money. Do they realize how many millions of dollars are wasted and they have your attention on the president. They should just stop. They should pay attention to their own districts, their own people, take care of their own people and stop harassing one man! It’s ridiculous. Two years? Millions of dollars? I think the Democrats or whoever did this should be charged, not the taxpayers. It’s insane!

All you Trump supporters let me ask you a question. Do you think you could get away with not paying your taxes? And if the government says I want to see your tax results that you could just say no? Why don’t you think about it, use some common sense.

If Trump didn’t cause such chaos in his constant lying and stupidity the Democrats would be bragging about him. So Trump made his own problems and that’s what he gets.

The world is being blown up by terrorism and terrorists, and all congress can worry about is the phony collusion against President Trump. Isn’t that ridiculous?

I had to laugh because I just read in today’s Pennysaver that some idiot wrote all they print is pro-Democrat articles. Well if the idiot could count, they could read today it’s 18-3 pro-Republican vs. Democrat. Talk about favoritism? I think you better look in the mirror. Count your fingers and toes Republicans, because that’s all it seems you can do.

A caller stated that the Constitution requires Separation of Church and State. You can say whatever you want but you won’t find Separation of Church and State in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. The First Amendment states Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting a free exercise thereof. Current political pressure is to prohibit free exercise of religion by taking down religious symbols, silencing teachers and trying to prevent religious activities in public places. This is clearly a violation of constitutionally protected rights. In addition, the secular humanists, which are the chief proponents of this type of suppression, are themselves establishing their religion, humanism in the public schools, courts, government, and public life. So how do you prevent one religion from taking over a government? Keep your hands off our freedoms!

Can anyone tell me what the Congress and Senate on the Republican and Democratic side is accomplishing? All the Democrats want to do is try to impeach Donald Trump and do investigations on Donald Trump. The Republicans, all they’re doing is watching and weakly defending the president. This is why we have to have short-term limits. Neither side was elected to do nothing like they are doing.

The Mueller report is out and Trump said there was a witch-hunt. Well, the witch-hunt is still loose and her name is Hillary. Got to get her.

So how was it that the fake news got it all wrong? They said that collusion was true and spying was a hoax. These so called journalists cannot be taken seriously. Anyone who listens to them and watches their shows and believes them is a fool.

Congratulations to the couple who said they made more money with the new Trump tax plan. I guess that is where my tax dollars went, into the wall. It is the opposite for my husband and me. We pay thousands to the Federal Government, we’ve never paid that much before and even got a small return back from the state. I guess in the end somebody has to pay for it, and that is us; and no, we are not rich. We are hard working middle class people.

Either Donald Trump is lying about his tax returns being audited for how many years? Or they are so complicated that the IRS has to hire agents’ full time for his returns alone. Remember, he said he likes to do things so complicated that nobody can figure them out. More likely they show he is still paying no taxes at all. Why else would he donate his salary, or is that another lie? If his “finances are very clean” as he says, why is he hiding them from the public?

Looks like we need to start funding Social Security again rather than giving the money to countries that hate us.

The Democrats are doing all they can to crucify Trump. I believe that would be a good term for what they are trying to do.

I see Joe Biden just announced a run for 2020 president. They can bash Trump all they want to, but Trump doesn’t get out there and promise free everything. Joe Biden better sweep off his own back porch because it wasn’t Trump and his son that was involved in the Iranian deal, and it wasn’t Trump and his son that got $2 or $3 billion automatically deposited into their checking accounts now was it?

Well, the Mueller report is in. This has got to be the biggest scam and scandal we’ve had in our government ever! And who’s at the top of it? Clinton. All these people have to be held accountable, but I’m still laughing because this scandal was supposed to be the sure thing that got Hillary into office and it didn’t work. Go Trump!
