From April 29 through May 4, the Apalachin Elementary School’s Green Team will be hosting a fill the bus event to collect materials for recycling.
The group will have students bring in materials that can’t be donated to the local goodwill, such as clothing, towels, shoes, hats, outerwear, and cloth bags and belts that are no longer being used. They can be any shape, size, or condition (they can even have holes); they just can be moldy.
The purpose, according to coordinator Jessie Barnes, is to keep these items from being thrown away.
