CCE Tioga hosts Pinwheel Planting in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County will be hosting a Pinwheel Planting at the Ronald E. Dougherty Office Building at 56 Main St. on Friday, April 19; from noon to 1 p.m. Community members are welcome to stop by to plant a pinwheel during this time.

The Pinwheel is a symbol of the happy and healthy childhoods all children deserve. Pinwheel Gardens are planted across the U.S. in the month of April as a part of the national Prevent Child Abuse America campaign.

Locally, they wish to recognize the many efforts in the community to support the hard work of raising the next generation. Prevent Child Abuse NY provided pinwheels for this event.
