T.A.L.L. announces April and May computer class schedule

The Tioga Adult Learning Lab (T.A.L.L.), a computer instruction and employment readiness program of Literacy Volunteers of Broome/Tioga Counties, Inc., is now accepting registrations for basic skills computer classes to be held the months of April and May 2019. All instruction is of no cost to the public. 

“Basics of Microsoft Windows, Word & Excel”, a comprehensive five week course focusing on the basics of the Windows operating system, Microsoft Word – a word processing program, and Excel – a spreadsheet program, meets beginning Tuesday, April 23 and ending Wednesday, May 22, and will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening. 

Also offered during April and May are “Resume Success” on Thursday, April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.; “Using E-Mail Effectively” on Thursday, May 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.; “Applying for Jobs Online” will be held on Thursday, May 9 from 6 to 8 p.m.; “Social Networking – Using Facebook” will be held Thursday, May 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.; “Basics of Microsoft Publisher” on Monday, May 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.; and “Basics of Microsoft PowerPoint” on Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. (attend both evenings).

Each class will meet in room 225 (second floor) at the Owego Middle School, Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego, N.Y. Students must be preregistered to attend as seating is limited, and can do so by contacting the Literacy Office at (607) 778-6406.
