The Tioga Allies in Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition will present “Supporting Grandfamilies ASAP: A night of support for families affected by substance abuse.” The event is planned for April 11, and will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Countryside Community Center, located at 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd. in Owego.
The event is for grandparents that are raising their grandchildren as a result of substance abuse. Stop by to connect with resources, learn about the science of addiction, and watch one part of “The Healing Journey,” a film about how the opioid epidemic has affected three families in Tioga County.
Childcare and refreshments will be provided. RSVP by April 5 for childcare.
