Tioga Women Lead Council teams up with NYS Women, Inc. for ‘She Did It Anyway, Past, Present, Future’ event

Tioga Women Lead and NYS Women’s Inc., Susquehanna Chapter, two local groups that support women’s leadership locally, announce “She Did It Anyway, Past, Present, Future,” a presentation and networking event that will be held on Thursday, April 11, at The Pumpelly House Estate located at 44 Front St. in Owego.

Learn how local women have shaped our past. Hear how they are making things happen in the present. Discuss how we can support the women leaders of the future. Emma Sedore, Tioga County Historian, will present the stories of two women who faced obstacles but made their mark on Tioga County History.

Hear from LeeAnn Tinney and Becca Maffei, who work for Tioga County, on how Team Tioga took a long shot and turned it into a home run for the Village of Owego. Creator of Global Leadership Now, a leadership program for young women, Penny Bartlow, will talk about the women leaders of the future.

Registration will open at 5:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $20 and includes light refreshments. A cash bar is available. To register, contact the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce at 80 North Ave., Owego, by calling (607) 687-2020, or register online at www.tiogachamber.com by April 5.
