On Saturday, March 16, Girl Scout Troop 40925 will be selling delicious cookies directly to the local community. Their booth will be set up in the Rite Aid parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Central Avenue in Owego, and open for sales from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This annual event raises funds for troop activities, trips, and service projects throughout the year, so please consider stopping by and showing your support for local scouting.

All of the traditional flavors such as Trefoils, Thin Mints, Samoas, Do-Si-Dos and Tagalongs will be available as well as the newer Savannah Smiles, S’mores and Toffee-tastics. Be there early for the best selection of flavors.

The cookie sales program is the largest girl-led business in the world and teaches girls essential skills to succeed personally and professionally. When customers stop by to purchase a package of Girl Scout cookies, they help teach girls five essential life skills – decision-making, goal setting, money management, business ethic, and people skills.

Troop 40925’s Cadette and Senior members attend Owego Apalachin Schools and would like to thank the community for supporting their fundraisers over the last four years.

Last year, in addition to their annual camping trips, the girls traveled to Rochester to visit the Strong Museum, experienced a whitewater rafting adventure on the Lehigh River Gorge, and completed their Silver Award projects.
