On Feb. 4, 2019 at approximately 1:59 a.m., New York State Police at Owego arrested Frank K. Kilanowski, age 21 of Candor, N.Y. for the misdemeanor of Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle and he was issued tickets numerous tickets in several jurisdictions after he attempted to evade troopers while on State Route 96 in Candor. 

Troopers observed the vehicle Kilanowski was operating to have an equipment violation and attempted to make a traffic stop. They observed Kilanowski speed up to a high rate of speed. 

The pursuit was terminated for safety once the vehicle entered the town of Ithaca. The troopers ended up locating the vehicle on State Route 79 just east out of Ithaca slowing down then come to a stop because Kilanowski ran out of gas. 

He was taken into custody without incident. He was later released on appearance tickets to the town of Candor Court on Feb. 11, and also tickets in the town of Danby, town of Ithaca and town of Richford courts.
