Local businessman Adam Weitsman pledged, via a Facebook post, to donate $150,000 to support area Boys & Girls Clubs on Monday, and during a NCAA game at Duke, if Syracuse won. By Monday evening, and after several “Live” posts by Weitsman with some up close footage of the game, Syracuse pulled forward, defeating the #1 ranked team, Duke, 95-91 in overtime.

Weitsman, owner of Upstate Shredding and Ben Weitsman & Son in Owego, posted on Facebook Monday evening, stating, “So happy for coach, happy for the team, and most of all happy for the local Boys and Girls Club who will get $150,000 donation in honor of this epic win. Love our Orange! Most exciting event of my life!”
