During the afternoon hours of Dec. 19, 2018, members of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a narcotics search warrant on a third-floor apartment at 1401 Pine St. in the Village of Endicott. A search of the apartment lead to the seizure of approximately 48 grams of crack cocaine valued at approximately $5,000, 25 grams of heroin valued at approximately $2,500, a small amount of marihuana and over $2,000 in cash.  

As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old Rolando A. Kennedy of Endicott, N.Y. was taken into custody and ultimately charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felonies) and one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence (E-Felony).  

Kennedy was later arraigned on the charges and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.  

The execution of the search warrant was the culmination on a lengthy investigation into the possession and sale of crack cocaine in and around the Endicott area. CNET Southern Tier was assisted in the investigation by members of the Vestal Police Department, Endicott Police Department, Broome County Drug Task Force, New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and uniform members from Troop C.
