On Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office arrested defendants Marissa Lynn Stilson, age 25, and Ryan P. Murphy, age 26, of Town of Tioga on two counts each of Abandonment of Animals and two counts each for failing to provide proper food and drink under the Agriculture and Markets Law.
These charges resulted from an investigation performed by the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division after receiving information regarding two horses that were not being fed or watered. Both horses have been temporarily placed with an undisclosed foster family until the completion of all court proceedings.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear at the Town of Tioga Court on Dec. 19, 2018 before Justice Hogan to answer the charges.
