The General Election is Tuesday

Polls will be open in New York State from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 for the 2018 General Election.

In Tioga County, Tioga Coroner Warren S. Stu Bennett (R) is running uncontested. 

Tioga Legislature District 1 candidates include Cliff M. Balliet (R) and Cecilia Menhennett (D).

For Tioga Legislature District 2, Martha C. Sauerbrey (R) is running uncontested. In Tioga Legislature District 4, S. Tracy Monell (R) and Loretta A. Sullivan (R) are running to maintiain their seats (vote for two).

In Tioga Legislature District 5, Dennis M. Mullen (R) is running uncontested.

For Berkshire Town Supervisor, Keith Flesher (R) is running uncontested as well as Berkshire Town Justice, with Dawn Olson (R) running for that seat.

Matthew C. Crowe (R), William R. Leonard Jr. (Lib), Kevin Luddy (D), and Sandra MacArthur (D), are running to fill two Candor Town Council seats.

Michael T. Grinage II (R) is running for Nichols Town Justice, Peggy A. Anderson (D) is running for Richford Town Justice, and David P. Henrighouse (R) is running for Town Justice in Spencer. 

Regionally, Elizabeth A. Burns (D) and Joe McBride (R) are running for State Supreme Court Justice.

In U.S. Congressional District 22, Anthony J. Brindisi (D) and incumbent Claudia Tenney (R) will be running for this seat.

In U.S. Congressional District 23, Democratic candidate Tracy Mitrano will challenge incumbent Tom Reed (R).

In the State Senate District 52, Frederick J. Akshar II (R) is running uncontested.

In State Senate District 58, Amanda Kirchgessner (D)will challenge incumbent Tom O’Mara (R).

In State Assembly District 122, Clifford W. Crouch (R)and Nicholas R. Libous (C) will vie for the seat. 

Donny Lupardo (D) is running uncontested in State Assembly District 123.

Democratic Candidate Bill Batrowny (D) will challenge incumbent Christopher Friend (R) in State Assembly District 124.

Barbara Lifton will run uncontested for State Assembly District 125.

Statewide, Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) and Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul (D), incumbents, will be challenged by a wide range of candidates to include (Governor / Lt. Governor) Howie Hawkins / Jia Lee (G), Stephanie A. Miner / Michael J. Volpe (SAM), Marc Molinaro / Julie Killian (R), and Larry Sharpe / Andrew C. Hollister (LBT).

Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli (D) will be challenged by Mark Dunlea (G), Cruger E. Gallaudet (LBT), and Jonathan Trichter (R).

For Attorney General Letitia A. James (D), Christopher B. Garvey (LBT), Nancy B. Sliwa (Ref), Michael Sussman (G), and Keith Wofford (R) will be on the ballot.

For U.S. Senator, Chele Chiavacci Farley (R) will challenge Kirsten E. Gillibrand (D) for the seat. 

Note that (D) = Democrat, (R) = Republican, (SAM) = Stephanie A. Miner, (LBT) – Libertarian, (G) = Green, and (Ref) = Reform.
