James Edward Bahr, Sr. passed away on Oct. 22, 2018 after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 7, 1965, the son of Phyllis and Gary Seamans, and Robert and Diane Bahr.
James was predeceased by one brother, Robert Allen Bahr. He is survived by his loving wife, Christie Bahr, and four sons – James E. Bahr, Jr., Travis Sickler, Tyler Sickler and Morgan Sickler and wife Pamela and grandson, Mordecai Sickler; his brothers, Michael Bahr and wife Nancy, Randy Bahr and wife Shirley, and sister, Lauri Davila and husband Carlos.
James is also survived by a half brother, Bob Bahr, and a half sister, Jeannie and Scott Sainz, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was loved and adored by many.
A memorial service will be held at South Apalachin Baptist Church, located at 4116 Pennsylvania Ave. in Apalachin, N.Y. on Friday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m.
So sorry to see that Jim has passed. He was a great friend. We met online playing a mobile game and although I wasn’t really looking for a friend, Jim became just that. He was genuine and someone I was proud to call a friend. It still amazes me that throughout his battle with cancer he never failed to check in on how my life was going. His heart was huge. of our online team, I found out that Jim often checked on other members as well. It takes a special kind of person to be going through hell yet still have the compassion to worry about others.
