Ti-Ahwaga Community Players announce upcoming production of The Full Monty

The Ti-Ahwaga Community Players, located on Delphine Street in Owego, N.Y., recently announced their upcoming October 2018 production of the hit Broadway musical, The Full Monty.

The show will take place at the theater on Oct. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20 at 8 p.m., and on Oct. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m.

Nominated for nine Tony Awards when it opened on Broadway in October of 2006, the show has a book by Tony award winning playwright Terrance McNally with music and lyrics by David Yazbek.

It tells the story of six unemployed, out of shape steel-mill workers from Buffalo, N.Y. who need to pick up some extra cash. After seeing the popularity of a male stripper among the local women, the men decide to put on a strip show of their own. Their gimmick is simple: they will go the Full Monty – stripping on stage.  This plan forces the men to come to terms with their own fears of inadequacy, both physically and as providers for their families.

Tickets are $27 for adults under the age of 60 and $22 for seniors.
