Tioga Opportunities, Inc. offers Alzheimer’s program in Owego and Nichols

Would you like to learn more about how to communicate effectively with someone suffering from Alzheimer’s disease? Join Tioga Opportunities, Inc. when the Alzheimer’s Association presents “Effective Communication Strategies.”  

The first program will take place on Monday, July 16, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Countryside Community Center located at 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd. in Owego.

The second program will take place on Tuesday, July 24, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Community Care Network of Nichols located at 139 Roki Blvd. in Nichols. 

If you or a loved one is experiencing memory loss or other behavioral changes, please come and learn to decode messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions and body language. 

This program is free to the public, but registration is required. Call the Department of Aging at (607) 687-4120, ext. 331 to reserve your seat.
