The Early Owego Antique Center is sponsoring Friday’s performance of The Possibilities.

At the Friday night Block Party, June 15, Strawberry Festival guests will have the opportunity to hear The Possibilities, a band of fifth grade students from the Apalachin Elementary School, who will be performing on the Courthouse Stage from 5 to 5:45 p.m.

The Possibilities will proudly represent the Rock Band program at Apalachin Elementary School, which is a unique program geared towards evolving music education into the 21st century.

The music performed by the band is selected by the students, and taught to them by their music teacher, Ryan Cirbus. Their set will contain songs from Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Eminem, The Killers and The Temptations, as well as original music written by members of the band.

The Possibilities are very excited about their performance at the Strawberry Festival, and promise to give a performance that will make you forget they are in fifth grade.

Band members include Ryan Barnes – saxophone, Lana Corson – bass, Olivia Dodge – keyboards, Alexis Herceg – guitar and vocals, Billy Huddleston – drums and vocals, Parker Jenkins – drums and vocals, Ruben Lemmon – keyboards, Lucas Maas – guitar, Joey Mikels – trombone and vocals, Gianna Paolucci – vocals, and Elizabeth Reigle – saxophone.

The fifth grade band is sponsored this year, in part, by the Early Owego Antique Center.
