Tioga Opportunities, Inc. offers ‘Eating Heart Healthy’ program in Waverly

Did you know that more than 60 percent of adults in the U.S. are overweight or obese? Obesity and poor diet can have serious consequences.  

Join the Department of Aging when the American Heart Association presents “Eating Heart Healthy,” a program designed to educate people on the importance of good nutrition at any age. 

The presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 17, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Elderwood at Waverly, located at 37 North Chemung St.

Topics covered will include tips to stay on track with your nutritional goals during the holidays, serving versus portion sizes, “eating the rainbow,” and much more.

There is no cost for this program, but registration is required.
